LATEST NEWS

We are now at the end of the 2025 biking season, bike runs will be posted for 2026 when they become available but we have found that a couple of biking events will now no longer take place, we will have to wait and see if we get any new biking events to take their place, and another event we have lost in 2024 is the Essex Air Ambulance Run North Weald to Harwich, apparently it has got too large to manage .

The dates on our forthcoming events page will be added when the organizers list the dates for there forthcoming events when known, but again please check with the relevant website just before the event is to take place to ensure that the said event is still going ahead before going, there are also a couple of websites haven't been updated since the first lockdown 2020, so we are not sure if the said events will ever take place again.

We managed a day out to the Bike Shed Café which was very interesting and the food was not bad either, the real pain was the 20 MPH speed limit from Seven Sisters onward, so decided to come out via the Highway, the only problem I had was the £12-50 ULEZ charge, but it was worth it as we had never been to the Bike Shed Café, also done for the first time the Museum of Power near Maldon in Essex, it was very similar to the Sand and Motorcycle event, that's another one we seemed to have lost so the Museum of Power event will have to replace it.

There was no road trip for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, a road trip for 2025 was in the pipeline but we never managed to organize it, Covid lockdown seems to have screwed up a lot of biking events and road trips and trying to get back into the swing of things seems problematic and the weather for 2024 didn't helped things, the weather was a lot better for 2025 but we never seem to organize a road trip.

The ULEZ came in on Tuesday 29th August 2023, and as the mayor has been re-elected it is now here to stay, some of our bikes will be subject to the £12-50 charge and this will have dire consequences for the Ace Café and the Whitewebbs Motor Museum, events that are put on at both venues will mean you won't see older vehicles turning up as most riders and drivers will not want to pay the charge just to get to the event.
